Our 5th grade students read a very interesting article about Lirpa Loofs birds and how in March they leave Montana to the east coast of the U.S. They love marshmallows so our 5th graders tried to lure some in this morning with yummy marshmallow bait just to learn that Mrs. Raymond is a great jokester....Happy April Fool's Day! Trojan Spotlight - Winneshiek County Conservation - Mrs. Hanna Meyer visited the 4th grade classroom to explain how old the Earth is. (It’s really, really, really, really old!) Mrs. Hanna did a great job explaining how the timeline was a scientific model. Students also learned about two different meteorites that hit the Earth. Students loved the presentation. Pi Day is on March 14 to honor the mathematical constant (pi), which is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter (3-14 are the first 3 digits of Pi). Every year Mr. Amos has competitions in his classes to earn the chance to "pie" him. This year the students pied Mr. Amos at the end of our Rock Paper Scissors competition. Thanks Mr. Amos and Congrats to the student winners! #TVPride
