Fourth grade students Peyton Reicks and Reid Steinlage participated in Keystone AEA's Science & Engineering Fair at the NICC Calmar Campus. Our preschool teachers submitted applications through Ag in the Classroom Teacher Supplement Grant funded by the Iowa Ag Literacy Foundation. All three of them received approval! We look forward to their initiatives of farm field trips and a pollinating project.

Mr. Amos took advantage of the weather in March and had geometry outside today.

Emma Benoit came to Turkey Valley to share her story of being a suicide survivor. She is becoming a well-known speaker, advocating for mental health awareness. The 9-12 students had the opportunity to watch her documentary and followed up with a Q&A in the gym with Emma.

What is 1 of our students' favorite days of the year? Well, drive a tractor to school day, of course! This Friday, March 1st there will be interesting traffic around Turkey Valley as students (age 16 or older) change up their normal mode of transportation! All tractors need to be at school by 7:45, no later! Drive safely! #TVPride

Kindergarten and 7th grade continue to enjoy their Friday buddy time! This is a huge perk of having all our students in one building! #TVPride

IBN (Iowa Big North) students in conjunction with student senate ran a week long Habitat for Humanity fundraiser. Students could pay to wear a hat every day during the week while staff paid to wear jeans. 7th-12th grade advisor groups had a penny war during lunch each day with the winning group earning a pizza party. An hour Friday afternoon was set aside for a bean bag tournament, music BINGO, and the highlight of getting to tape Mrs. Hoy to the gym wall. Students could purchase strips of tape to apply to Mrs. Hoy. We raised over $1300 for Habitat for Humanity! It was a fantastic week filled with Trojan Pride and raising money for a good cause! #TVPride
