We are joining Iowa College Aid in celebrating “Decision Week” May 3–7, 2021 to recognize Iowa’s students who are making the important decision to attend a higher education institution following high school. Staff and students are encouraged to wear their favorite college, junior college, trade school, military, and/or higher education shirts all week long.

2 days remaining to donate dog supplies as organized by Iowa BIG North students for the benefit of New Hampton area SNAP.
We had beautiful weather for our Wellness Day! We took advantage of all the open space we had for kite flying, walking on the track, kickball, and live music while enjoying a MooMobile shake. Here are a few pictures of our day.

This was just a small sample of the fun we had today with our kiddos. If they came home and hit the pillow, it was a similar feeling for the staff. We played hard! Look at those dance moves!
Preschool and kindergarten have been busy creating beautiful art pieces to brighten up our hallways!

Seniors are ready for our mini Wellness Day tomorrow. Parents and guardians, be looking for an email today with more details. Cross your fingers for great weather!
Mrs. Schmitt's Foods I Class (Food & Nutrition) made omelets to practice their knife cutting skills and meal preparation. All 15 students made perfect omelets! They were amazed that they were able to do a French folded omelet; which means they fold the omelet over as they are taking it off the pan. Some of the students' comments were, "I have never tasted an omelet this good!" Our class watched a video with chef Jamie Oliver who made an omelet with a little bit of garlic and a few squirts of lemon while sauteing the ingredients. They tasted amazing!! #TVPride

Former Turkey Valley educator Phyllis Boeding and her husband Bob Boeding proudly presented an American flag that had flown in the skies of Afghanistan, between April 19 and July 15, 2019 on 42 combat sorties aboard the legendary A-10C Warthog assigned to the 107th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan. This flag was flown in honor of Turkey Valley High School and given by Pilot Brian "Master" Boeding, 107 EFS. Brian is the son of Phyllis and Bob Boeding. Brian has served four tours of duty in the armed forces and we are forever grateful for his service. #TVPride
Your help is appreciated: TV Iowa BIG North students are continuing a supply drive for the SNAP organization. Please support the SNAP organization and IBN team. Donations are being received at school.
Turkey Valley School is excited to announce the 2021 spring play, Black Hearts and Bearded Ladies by Ray Sheers. This comedy in three acts introduces the audience to Minnie and Rupert Floss, a slightly odd couple who owns and manages the Sweetwater Inn. The Sweetwater has fallen from grace over the years and now a group of armed robbers, the so called, "Bearded Lady Bandits" threaten the neighborhood. An amazing cast of talented performers brings to life the comedy and suspense that frequents the Sweetwater Inn.
Performances will be held in the Turkey Valley multi-purpose room on May 7th and 8th at 7pm. Masks will be required. The cost is $5 for anyone 5 and up.

If you or your business are interested in helping us provide a sweet treat, please send your contribution to TV with MOO in the memo by Monday the 26th. Thank you.
