Our kindergarten students were the last group to participate in a Drama Quest with our Missoula directors. They were split into a group of biologists on a quest to save baby turtles and the other group were obstacles in the way. The biologist group traveled in a submarine, went scuba diving, and treasure hunting in the ocean. The other group acted as water currents for the submarine to pass through, clown fish who demanded jokes before letting the biologists pass through and sharks who wanted compliments before swimming away. Great job saving the baby turtles! #TVPride

Our 5th and 6th grade classes were able to participate in an Improv workshop with our Missoula directors. They learned strategies to think fast, communicate, cooperate, and respond with "yes, and". A few students were chosen for Fairy Tale interviews so they enjoyed hearing from Tarzan, Papa Bear, Barney, Regina George from "Mean Girls" and Abu from the movie "Alladin". Great job students! #TVPride

Yesterday afternoon our 3rd and 4th grade classes were able to participate in an acting workshop with our Missoula directors. They learned about the tools of acting; imagination, memorization/concentration, and observation. With their imagination, they walked a dog, tried catching snails, and climbed an invisible wall. To practice their memorization/concentration they partnered up and switched 3 things about their appearance to see if their partner would notice. To practice their observation skills the sat in a circle with a detective standing in the center and a mystery person was the leader. The leader would start an action while the detective's eyes were shut, change the action once the detective was looking, and they had to identify the leader. #TVPride

Trojan Events for October 24: Cross Country state qualifier will be ran at North Linn High School; girls race @ 4:00 p.m. & boys race following. Good luck to our runners! #TVPride

K-6th grade students have the opportunity to take part in the Missoula Children's Theatre production of The Pied Piper. This week-long residency was made possible by the Turkey Valley Education Foundation. The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents THE PIED PIPER, an original adaptation of the classic children’s tale. What do you do when your town is overrun by ravenous rats? Sara, an orphan girl, and the other Townspeople of Hamelin Town turn to the Mayor of Hamelin and the Council when their town is threatened. They then call on the Pied Piper to save them from the troublesome creatures. The Mayor's children, staff, and the Cooks also join in the endeavor. Find out what happens when the town chooses not to pay the Piper and the children are led away from the town along with the rats! Thank you to TVEF for funding this amazing opportunity and TV staff for accommodating the time this week. #TVPride
